How to Synchronize Sound on an MP4

The MP4 is one of the many video formats on the Internet. The MP4 format is typically used on portable media players and PC media players for playback. When you download an MP4 from the Internet, and the audio or video is out of sync, your MP4 video is corrupt. To correct the audio and video issues, you must download an MP4 video-repair program such as Digital Media Recovery, MP4 Recovery or All Media Fixer.

Instructions

  1. Digital Media Recovery

      Download, install and start Digital Media Recovery.

      Select your hard drive. Click "Next" when you select the drive that contains the corrupted MP4 file.

      Check the box next to the MP4 file format under "Select music & video types to recover." Click "Next" to continue.

      Click "OK" to synchronize the sound on the MP4. Click "Save" when the "Saving Options" box appears to save the file onto your PC.

      Download, install and start MP4 Recovery.

      Click "Start Scan" to select the drive that has the MP4 file you want to repair. Click "Start Scan" again to scan your hard drive.

      Scroll down the file list to find your corrupted MP4 file. Add a checkmark by the MP4 in "File List" tab and then click "Recover."

      Click "Start Scan" and then "Continue" to begin repairing the MP4.

    All Media Fixer

      Download, install and start All Media Fixer.

      Click "Add Media File" on the main interface of All Media Fixer.

      Select the MP4 file that you want to repair and then click "Open."

      Click the "Start check and fix" button on All Media Fixer's interface to fix the MP4 sound. The repaired file will replace the corrupted file on your hard drive.
