How Can I Forward My Mail?
If you are planning a move, you will need to make sure that your mail comes along with you. Contacting every single company that has your mailing address is daunting, and most likely impossible. Fortunately, the U.S. Postal Service has a better option for you. You can make sure that all your mail is forwarded to your new address by simply submitting a Change of Address form to your local post office.

Get a Change of Address form by visiting your local post office. You may also fill out the form online at the USPS website.

Fill out the form completely. List the new mailing address at which you would like to receive your mail. List the date on which you want to start forwarding your mail. If it is a temporary change of address, also list the date on which you want to stop forwarding your mail.

Submit the completed form to an employee at your local post office, or complete the online form. You will receive a confirmation letter via mail letting you know that your form was accepted.

Ensure that the new address is correctly listed in the confirmation letter that you receive. If not, make the required changes to the form and resubmit.

Tips & Warnings
You will be responsible for any extra shipping costs involved with packages over 16 ounces that are forwarded.
Submit the Change of Address form at least one month in advance of your move to ensure that is it accepted in time.
