How to Find My Yahoo API Key

If you use Yahoo Web services content for building new applications, you will need a Yahoo API Key or application ID to access those sites. You can get and find your Yahoo API Key through the Yahoo API application page. With this key, you can gather data and information from Yahoo not available to the average Yahoo user and combine that data to create the applications you need.

  Type in your Yahoo user name when prompted.

  Select "Generic, No User Authentication Required" when asked for your "Authentication Method."

  Type your "Developer/Company Name," "Product Name," "Contact Email," and "Application Description." Click "Continue." Your API key will be displayed.
