How to Download Music on My iPod Mini
Although Apple discontinued the iPod Mini in 2005 to make way for the iPod Nano, many of the devices are still around today. Just because you can no longer buy new iPod Minis it doesn't mean they're obsolete. By connecting your iPod Mini to your computer and using the latest version of iTunes, you can still download new music to your iPod Mini -- just as you can with newer iPods.

Connect your iPod Mini to your computer using the dock connector to USB 2.0 cable that came with your iPod Mini.

Open the newest version of iTunes on your computer if it doesn't open automatically when you connect your iPod Mini to your computer.

Click the "Music" tab in the upper left-hand corner of the iTunes interface. Clicking "Music" will display all of the music you have saved to iTunes.

Scroll through the music in your library using the scroll bar on the right-hand side of iTunes.

Select the song you want on your iPod Mini by clicking on it. The song will appear highlighted in the main iTunes window.

Locate the iPod Mini icon below the "Device" tab on the left-hand side of the iTunes interface.

Drag the highlighted song to the iPod Mini icon.

Release the mouse button when the iPod Mini icon becomes highlighted to download the song to your iPod Mini.

Tips & Warnings
You can save time by adding multiple songs to your iPod Mini at the same time. To add multiple songs to your iPod Mini at the same time, hold down the "Ctrl" key -- PC -- or the "Command" key -- Mac -- and dragging all of the highlighted songs to the iPod Mini icon below the "Device" tab.
