How to Report Spam Sent From Gmail
Spam email has become a routine occurrence for most people who rely on their email frequently. Scammers target email addresses in bulk, hoping to find someone in the list that will fall for their fraud attempt. When a spam message originates from a Gmail account you can report the user and the message to Google for moderation. Google will research the problem and address it accordingly.

Launch your favorite web browser. Navigate to the Google homepage. Click "About Google" at the bottom of the screen.

Click "Contact Us" under the "More Google" heading. Select "Security Issues" in the "Specific Inquiries" list.

Choose "Contact Gmail" from the security contact list that appears. Scroll down and click "A Gmail user who is sending messages that violate the Terms of Use" in the "Learn How to Report" menu.

Input your email address and Gmail account user name in the fields provided. Enter the Gmail account user name of the offending email account.

Open the email in another browser window. Click "More options" and choose "Show original" to expose the email headers. Copy and paste the email headers into the box listed. Copy and paste the subject line then the complete text of the email.

Add any other comments with your complaint in the "Additional Information" field. Click "Yes" or "No" to clarify if the individual was trying to impersonate a Google representative. Click "Submit."
