How to Unlock the iPhone 2G After Jailbreaking
Unlocking and jailbreaking your iPhone 2G gives you access to apps not found in Apple's App Store, and allows you to tweak the iPhone's settings in ways not normally allowed. To unlock the iPhone 2G, however, you must first have it jailbroken with the Cydia Installer app.

Open the Cydia Installer app on your iPhone 2G.

Touch the "Search" icon located at the bottom of the Cydia app. Type "BootNeuter" into the search bar and touch "Search." Touch the app that's labeled "BootNeuter from BigBoss & Planet" to select it.

Touch the "Install" button located in the upper right corner of the screen to begin installing the app. Touch "Confirm" to confirm your request. Touch the "Return to Cydia" button when the app has finished installing.

Open the BootNeuter app from your iPhone's springboard (home screen) by touching it.

Set the BootNeuter settings to the following: Version: 4.6, Neuter: On, FakeBlank: Off, and Baseband: On.

Touch the "Flash" button in the upper right corner of the app. Wait for the phone to be unlocked, as this may take several minutes. After the process has been completed, you will be notified, and your iPhone 2G is now successfully unlocked.
