How to Unsubscribe From Yahoo

If you no longer use your Yahoo account then you might decide to unsubscribe from it. Yahoo users log in to all Yahoo services with the same name and password. To unsubscribe from Yahoo you will need to close the account, and this means that you will lose access to all services, including My Yahoo, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Address Book and Yahoo Groups. To close your account, log in to the service, and then access the account termination page.

Instructions

1. Launch your Web browser and sign in to Yahoo.

2. Type "edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user" into your Web browser's address bar, and click "Return" on the computer keyboard.

3. Wait for the Yahoo account termination page to load in the Web browser.

4. Type your Yahoo username into the input field at the bottom of the page. This confirms your identity before you unsubscribe.

5. Type the displayed "captcha" security code into the input field.

6. Click the "Terminate This Account" button. This closes your account and removes access from all Yahoo services.

Tips & Warnings

• If you pay for any premium Yahoo services, cancel them before you close your Yahoo account. You can do this by accessing "Yahoo Billing Information" from your Yahoo homepage.
