In addition to editing features, you may also add speaker notes to presentations. These notes may be printed separately or in addition to the slides in the show. Using a PDF writing program, the PowerPoint notes may be converted to Portable Document Format by following a few steps.

      Install a PDF writing program to your computer. While a variety of these programs are available commercially and for free, most are suitable for the process of converting PowerPoint notes to PDF. The Adobe Acrobat programs (adobe.com), are somewhat expensive ($199-$799). A less expensive program at about $29, NitoPDF (nitropdf.com), may be used. CutePDF (cutepdf.com), is a free PDF writing program that may also be used in the following steps.

      Open the PowerPoint file that contains the notes that you want to convert to PDF. Click the "File" tab and select "Print." This action will open a separate pop-up window.

      Click the "Full Page Slides" menu and select the "Notes Pages" option under the "Print Layout" section. Click the "Printer Name" menu and select the PDF writing program you installed in Step 1. Click the "Print" button. This action will open a separate pop-up window.

      Click the arrows in the navigation bar of the Save As window to select a location in which to save the PDF file. Type a name for the PowerPoint file into the "File name" field and click the "Save" button to complete the process of converting PowerPoint notes into PDF.
