How to Report a Complaint to the BBB
Most businesses are members of their their local Better Business Bureau, also known as the BBB, because of the many perks that the organization offers, and because it helps with consumer communication. One of the best ways to file a complain about a business with assurance that the business will receive the complaint is through the BBB. The BBB acts as the mediator between you the consumer, and the business with which you have the complaint.

Go to the Better Business Bureau's website. There the site will ask you for your zip code. Enter the zip code for the business that you have a complaint with.

Click on the complaint link on the right hand side of the site, under "BBB for Consumers" to file a complaint about the business that you have a complaint with. It does not matter if they are a member of the BBB or not.

Answer the questions honestly on the BBB complaint site. When you are asked to give your complaint, stick to the facts and do not use profanity. The complaints go to the BBB, which then sends them to the business. The BBB reserves the right to not send your complaint to the business if they find it unprofessional.

Wait for the BBB to get back to you after you have submitted the complaint. The bureau tries to have complaints closed within 30 days.

Call the BBB if you do not feel comfortable filling out the complaint information online. You can find the number to the BBB of the business you have your complaint about by going online or by contacting your local BBB.
