How to Contact a DMOZ Editor
DMOZ is a website dedicated to categorizing and organizing material on the Web. This website is referred to as the "Open Directory Project" and uses a network of editors and creators to create a searchable directory of websites with useful information. If you wish to get your website listed at DMOZ, it will have to go through a section editor first. If you are having difficulty getting your site listed, or have a question, contact a DMOZ editor easily.

1
Open up your browser of choice and go to the DMOZ website. Once the page is loaded, click on one of the many different category headings of your choice. Click on the heading, not any of the subcategories within each one. Wait for the main page for the category to load (see Resources).
-
2
Scroll down to the bottom of the category page, ignoring all of the subcategory links and the links for the page in other languages. At the bottom of the page you will see a list of editors for this particular category in a section labeled "Category Editors." Click on the name of the editor you wish to contact.

Wait to be redirected to the editor feedback page. Here you will see several text boxes that you can fill out information in, including first and last name, email, subject and comments. Fill out each section as accurately as possible, and include your comments or questions. Click on the "cc to Staff" button if you wish to send a copy to DMOZ staff. Click on the "Send" button at the bottom of the page.

Wait for an email response from the editor. Your comments will be sent to the editor, even though you will not receive his or her email address. It may take several days for the editor to respond to your question or comments depending on the section inquiring about.
