1
Place an empty cereal box on a flat surface with the top of the box open. Fill the cereal box with candies and other goodies until the box is loosely filled. You can use store-bought bags of mixed candies or fill the box with your own selection of candies and small toys. Do not put anything in the box that can be broken when the children attack it with a bat.

2
Apply a line of glue along the edge of the open end of the box. Close the box and press firmly to let the glue adhere.

3
Cut long, thin strips of newspaper. Pour one cup of white craft glue, one cup of flour and two cups of water into a large mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients together. Drag the strips of newspaper through the watery mixture and cover the cereal box with the strips. Let the strips harden for a few hours to make a hard shell for the piñata.

4
Paint the cereal box in the color of your choice. Let the paint dry.

5
Cut out two pictures of your favorite princess that are each at least 1 inch larger than the cereal box on each side. You can print the pictures from the computer onto a piece of card stock or draw them freehand.
-
6
Cover the back of each picture with craft glue and press the pictures firmly against the front and the back of the cereal box.
-
7
Poke two holes in the top of the cereal box. Insert a long length of ½-inch-wide ribbon or thick string. Tie the ends of the ribbon or string in a knot. The ribbon or string lets you hang the piñata for the party.

8
Decorate the princess pictures. Spread some glue on the back of four imitation gemstones and use these as earrings on each of the princess pictures. Cut a length of ½-inch-wide ribbon and use it as a necklace or glue imitation gemstones around the princess's neck to make a necklace.

9
Add a tiara to each princess picture. Cut out two tiara shapes from a piece of card stock. Paint the tiaras with silver or gold paint. Let the paint dry and glue on imitation gemstones. Cover the back of the tiaras with glue and press them against the top of the princesses' heads.
