Artwork adds visual interest to song playing on the iPod Touch.

While album artwork is an essential part of nondigital albums, it's also useful for digital versions of music. This is particularly the case with songs on the iPod Touch since pictures, also known as album artwork, add to the visual appeal of songs played on the iPod Touch. If you've noticed that your songs are missing pictures when played on the iPod Touch, you can fix this problem by getting the artwork in iTunes.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug your iPod Touch into the computer using the iPod USB cable.

    • 2

Click "Start," followed by "All Programs" and "iTunes." Click the "Music" option under "Library."

    • 3

Click "Edit," and then "Select All" in iTunes. Right-click and select "Get Album Artwork." Then click "Get Album Artwork" when asked if you want to get the album artwork.

    • 4

Wait for iTunes to download the artwork. This may take several minutes depending on the number of albums that lack artwork.

    • 5

Recopy the songs from iTunes to your iPod Touch. If your iPod Touch is automatically set to synchronize with iTunes, iTunes will automatically recopy the songs.

    • 6

Disconnect your iPod Touch after iTunes has recopied the songs. Press the "Music" button on your iPod Touch and play a song to see the pictures iTunes has added.
