Ustream is a website that allows you to broadcast live shows to viewers with an Internet connection and Web camera. The website contains different channels, or platforms, for users to provide live streaming videos. Politicians have used Ustream to engage voters, musicians have put on live performances, and happy couples have broadcast their weddings with a simple click of a button. Many users on Ustream have music shows and broadcast music during their feed. The exact steps may vary depending on your operating platform and what audio device you are using.

Things You'll Need

• 2 eighth-inch-to-eighth-inch cables
• Webcam
• Audio device

Instructions

1. Plug in the audio device you want to use for your broadcast, such as an iPod or speakers.

2. Use an eighth-inch-to-eighth-inch cable to connect the device to the output point on your computer. Use another cable to connect your audio device to your computer through an input point, such as the microphone.

3. Open your volume control and click on "Properties." Check "Wave Out" or "Stereo Mix."

4. Log into your Ustream account. Highlight your show and click "Broadcast Now."

5. Click on the "Audio Source" drop down menu. Highlight your audio device.

6. Click on "Built-In Input" and click "Apply." Set the "Audio Broadcast" under the Local Stream Monitor to "On."
