How to Access Your 2Wire Router Configuration

The router configuration application for 2Wire routers is accessible from Web browsers, just like every router. Within your 2Wire router's configuration menu, you can configure all of the operating settings for your router, including wireless network settings and security. To access your 2Wire router's configuration menu through your Web browser, all you need is the router setup address.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer.

2. Type "http://gateway.2wire.net" into the address bar and hit "Enter." Alternatively, type "http://192.168.1.254" into the address bar.

3. Type your 2Wire router's user name and password in the box that pops up (only if you previously enabled password protection). You're now brought to the configuration menu of your 2Wire router.
