How to: iPhoto to the Picasa Uploader

Apple's iPhoto provides several options for exporting your photos to services online, but unfortunately as of the time of publication you do not have the option to sync your iPhoto photos with your Google Picasa account. Luckily, you can use the Picasa Uploader for Mac OS X to export your iPhoto photos to your Picasa account. Picasa lets your search your Mac for pictures, including iPhoto, add data and tags, batch upload, post to Blogger, edit in Picnik and even create collages.

Instructions

      Open Picasa on your Mac. The first time you run Picasa, it gives you the option to import your iPhoto photos. If this isn't the first time you've opened Picasa, you can still import them.

      Click the "Import" button in the top left corner of the Picasa Uploader window.

      Click the tab next to "Import from" and click "Folder."

      Click the left scroll bar in the pop-up window and scroll down to the "Media" heading of your Finder shortcut menu. This menu is present in most pop-up windows in applications in Mac OS X.

      Click the "Photos" link and then click "iPhoto."

      Select the photos you want to import. To select multiple photos in a row click the first photo and hold the "Shift" key while clicking the last photo. To select multiple nonconsecutive photo, hold the "Command" key while clicking each photo.

      Click the "Choose" button to import your iPhoto photos to Picasa Uploader.
