How to Burp Twins
Having twins can be a great joy, but the first few months may exhaust new parents. Everything about newborn care -- from putting babies to sleep, getting them ready for outings and keeping them fed -- is more complicated when you have two babies to care for rather than just one. Ideally, you will bottle- or breastfeed your twins together to halve the amount of time you spend feeding them. But this leads to a question of mechanics, namely how you burp two babies at the same time. Fortunately, with some practice you can quickly become an expert at feeding and burping your twins together.

1
Ask someone to burp one baby for you while you burp or continue feeding the other. If dad, a grandparent or an older sibling is nearby, you may be able to enlist some help in burping your baby.
-
2
Burp your twins separately. Set one baby upright in a bouncy chair while you burp the other baby, then switch. If you are breastfeeding your babies together, unlatch one baby, pick him up with both hands and gently lift him up to your shoulder to burp while the other baby continues eating. Switch when the first baby finishes burping.

Burp your twins at the same time. Place one baby on your lap, her stomach resting against your thigh, and lift your other baby to your shoulder. Gently rub or pat their backs together. You can also place both babies on your lap, with one baby's stomach pressing against each of your thighs, while you burp them both.

Tips & Warnings
After your twins are born, find a helper who can assist you with feeding and burping your babies until you get the hang of doing everything yourself.
Make sure you always have enough burp cloths nearby while you feed your twins, since getting up to grab a cloth is difficult while holding two babies.
