How to Twitter a Picture
Twitter allows the rapid sharing of information, conversation and visual elements of our world at the press of a button. Sometimes an image is an efficient means of communicating given the limited message space of only 140 characters per tweet. Twitter does not allow direct image uploads through their interface. A third-party application developed by individual programmers must be used to send images directly to your Twitter feed using your computer, smartphone or email account.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure the image is small and optimized for digital use. Some programs will automatically re-size a larger image or will not access a large file.
If sending images to Twitter is a priority or daily occurrence, be sure to look into a smartphone option or application that helps streamline the process. Depending on your phone, you can purchase or install applications that will automatically send images straight to Twitter once they are taken.
Be mindful that Twitter is a public platform and anyone, including professional contacts, employers or future bosses, can access these images without permission. Do not post pictures that are inappropriate for a public online space.
