Page header and footers allow you to add similar information on each page of your Microsoft Word document. Titles, author information and page numbering are common elements that appear on headers or footers. If you decide these elements are not needed, Word makes it easy to get rid of them. Once gone, the editable header and footer spaces will still be available, but the information will be gone.
