How to Change the Nickname of the Administrator on WordPress
Although you cannot change a username in WordPress after you create it, you may change a nickname that appears on content within your Website. A blog author who wants to switch to a pen name, for example, can change the nickname in the WordPress dashboard by editing the profile. You can also change the nickname for an administrator account.

Log in to the WordPress dashboard. Enter the administrator's username and password into the log-in screen, then click the blue button to log in.

Go to "Users" on the left-hand side of the dashboard. Click the "Your Profile" link under "Users" to get to the admin's profile settings.

Locate the "Nickname" field under "Name" on the "Profile" screen. Change the nickname to whatever you want to use, but you must use a nickname. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the blue "Update Profile" button to save.

Click the selection box under the "Nickname" field and select the nickname if you want it to display on your posts. Click the blue "Update Profile" again to save.
