How to Run the Exchange System Manager Snap-In

Save

The Exchange System Manager snap-in is part of the server administrative tools available with the Exchange Server. The Exchange server is responsible for sending and receiving emails and managing user mailboxes in a company's network. Use the ESM management console in the Exchange 2003 server to configure and administer all Exchange server settings. Newer versions of Exchange, like Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010, have changed the name to Exchange Management Console. The EMC is simply a revamped version of the Exchange System Manager.

  • Login to the Exchange Server.

  • Click "Start."

  • Go to "Programs"

  • Click "Microsoft Exchange" and then click "System Manager." This runs the Exchange System Manager snap-in.
