Stretch and warm up before performing exercise on your Soloflex.

Soloflex home exercise machines and equipment uses, essentially, pulleys and levers to create weight and resistance exercises that require specific, controlled movements. You can use a number of ways to plan your most effective Soloflex workout, and most equipment sets are packaged with a DVD that contains suggested exercises for all different fitness levels. However, doing a squat is a great starter move that anyone can master on the Soloflex, even right out of the box.

Instructions

    • 1

Position the Soloflex bench across the mainframe.

    • 2

Stand next to the barbell arm and adjust it so that it is just higher than your waist and the foam pads lay across the arm.

    • 3

Face away from the mainframe, dropping your hips back and placing your weight on your heels.

    • 4

Lift to fully standing with an arched back and head up and centered. You will be pressing against the resistance with your legs and gluteus muscles.

    • 5

Return to the stance in Step 3.

    • 6

Repeat Steps 4 and 5, as many times as desired, to perform a set of squats.

Tips & Warnings

  • Squats are most effective when performed for longer sets with lighter weights.

  • Always wear sturdy shoes with non-skid soles when using your Soloflex machine.
