"Grand Theft Auto IV" is a game developed by Rockstar. The game requires you work your way through the storyline, completing missions to earn money, weapons and other items. As you go through the game, you meet characters who will become your friends. Spending time with your friends allows you to increase your friendship percentage. Once you reach 100 percent for a specific friend, you receive a perk off them to help you in the game.

Press the down button on your controller d-pad (directional pad) to bring up your cellphone.

Select one of the friends from your list who you would like to spend time with and select "Socialize."

Select one of the social options to do with your friend. These can range from going for a drink, bowling, going to see a show, going for food and taking a boat ride.

Travel to the destination highlighted on your map to carry out the activity. This will increase your friendship percentage for this character.

Repeat the process until you have successfully gained 100 percent for all your friends.
