Instructions

    • 1

Designate an area of your space for the candy bar. Use one or more tables to display the candy. Cover the tables with tablecloths first, if desired, for a dressed-up look.

    • 2

Fill the various containers with the candy. Select a variety of container shapes and sizes for the most pleasing look to the candy bar and to accommodate the different types of candy. Tailor the containers to the theme of the candy bar. For instance, use all glass containers such as apothecary jars, pie plates and bowls for an elegant look, or use containers in certain colors to match your theme. Choose candies that suit the theme. For example, use red licorice, peppermint twists and Red Hots for a red-and-white candy bar theme.

    • 3

Arrange the filled containers on the table or tables, placing different candies next to one another. Place the taller containers behind the shorter ones to make for easier access for guests.

    • 4

Add plates, cups or takeout boxes to one end of the table for guests to fill with their candy selections. Provide metal scoops for each container of candy. If you have smaller containers and small pieces of candy, other options for scoops include coffee scoops or large spoons.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't set candy out in a very hot room or warm outdoor space. It will melt and make a mess.
