How to Address an Emperor

Etiquette is important in the maintenance of diplomatic relations.

The protocol for addressing royalty simply needs to be memorized and applied. Each class of royalty has particular conventions regarding the manner in which they need to be addressed. There are also cultural conventions that need to be observed. The application of all of these principles is followed to ensure that there is no offense taken, which may result in the breakdown of the diplomatic and trading relationships between countries. 4. Address him as Your Imperial Majesty.
