How to Create a PDF Thumbnail With ScribD thumbnail
Show off your documents through Scribd.

Scribd is a popular social publishing site that allows all sorts of documents to be published, shared and even sold online. The Adobe PDF format is the preferred document type to be uploaded to Scribd since it will preserve all the formatting of the original document once it gets published online. The first page of the PDF will become the cover for that document on Scribd so when the file is uploaded the Scribd servers will convert the cover page into a JPG thumbnail picture that will be associated with the document online.

Instructions

Open your document editor program and the file you want to upload to Scribd. Make changes to the first page of the document. This page will become the thumbnail online. Save the file as a PDF. In most programs, you will click "File," then "Save As" and choose "PDF" as the file type in the drop-down menu. Consult the help features for your software for more information.
