1. Study the question carefully. What is it asking you? Make sure you fully understand what you are checking off before you check it off.

2. Make a check mark in the box if you are filling out the FAFSA using a pen. Make sure you use the correct type of ink and be careful with how big you make your check mark.

3. Move your mouse over to the box and left-click on it to check a box on an online FAFSA application. If you are checking off an option from a drop-down menu you will have to scroll down and review the given options.
