How to Create Links in Google Spreadsheets
Google Spreadsheets, part of Google Docs, is an online alternative to Microsoft's Excel spreadsheet program. Although not as fully featured as Excel, Google Spreadsheets offers basic and advanced spreadsheet functionalities in a Web-based interface. You can use Google Docs to read and edit Microsoft Excel files. Although Google Spreadsheets is generally easy to use and intuitive, the method you must use to insert and maintain hyperlinks in a spreadsheet is a bit buried. Google does allow you to enter clickable links, but you must specifically enable the feature.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to include a link to a URL, but indicate it with text instead of the complete URL, type this formula into the cell: =hyperlink("URL";"TEXT")
Replace "URL" with the Web address in the form of "www.example.com" and "TEXT" with the word or phrase you want to represent the link.
For example, type "=hyperlink("www.ehow.com";"eHow") to make the word "eHow" link to eHow.com.
