How to Stop Mozilla From Redirecting You

Some website designers program pages to redirect you to other pages or sites without your consent. Sometimes these websites take you to suspicious or harmful websites that you do not want to be on. Mozilla's Firefox browser allows you to block this functionality by changing one of the default options in its "Accessibility" settings menu. You may prevent websites from redirecting you at the browser level and then decide for yourself whether you want to go to the new page or somewhere else.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Mozilla Firefox. Click "Tools" on the menu, and then click "Options."

    • 2

Click the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Warn me When Websites try to Redirect or Reload the Page" check box to place a check in it.

    • 3

Click the "OK" button to save the settings.
