The Scarecrow look from the Wizard of Oz is an easy one to pull off.

If you are a fan of the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, then you can dress up like him for Halloween. Scarecrow is an easy, simple costume that you can put together using materials and clothing that you likely already have around your house. For the base of the costume, you need old clothing -- such as jeans and a plaid shirt. You also will need a straw hat or a sun hat. Finally, gather bits of hay or straw-like weeds from around your neighborhood, and stick them in your shirt pocket, beneath your hat and in your shoes. You may need to purchase hypo-allergenic face paint to complete Scarecrow's look.

Instructions

    • 1

Dip your face paint sponge into white or beige paint. This is your Scarecrow face base. Cover your entire face with face paint. Lightly apply the paint around your eyes, nose, and mouth.

    • 2

Swipe a new sponge in red face paint. Draw two rosy circles on your cheeks. Fill them in with more red face paint to make the circles more pronounced.

    • 3

Draw a black triangle on the tip of your nose and stretching up the bridge of your nose with a sponge dipped in black face paint. You may want to first outline the triangle with a black eyeliner.

    • 4

Draw two wide triangles over your eyebrows with a black eyeliner. Fill in the triangles with black face paint.
