How to Install "Vanguard Princess"
"Vanguard Princess" is a 2D "Beat-'Em-Up" game in the same vein as the better-known Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat games. This particular game, however, is Japanese, featuring an all-female cast and anime/manga-style graphics. Because "Vanguard Princess" is a Japanese-language game, it is impossible to install normally in Microsoft Windows. Instead, you'll have to use a specific program designed to install and run programs that do not use the English alphabet called "AppLocale."

1
Download the Vanguard Princess installer file (see Resources.)

Download Microsoft's "AppLocale" from the Microsoft website (see Resources.)
-
4
Install AppLocale on your computer. Launch the program once it has finished installing.

Click the "Browse" button when AppLocale asks you which file you wish to open. Browse to where you extracted the "Vanguard Princess" play file.

Select the play file, and then click "OK" followed by "Next." In the next window, you should see a drop-down menu displaying a set of Japanese characters. If you see only small squares in the drop-down menu, you do not have the Japanese language pack installed and need to install it before continuing (see Resources.)
