How to Kill Zirnitra in "FF XIII"
"Final Fantasy XIII" is a video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that is part of the ongoing "Final Fantasy" series developed by Square Enix. This installment has a job system for the characters, with each job having unique attributes. The jobs are Commando (Com), Ravager (Rav), Synergist (Syn), Sentinel (Sen), Medic (Med) and Saboteur (Sab). Part of the gameplay is a series of side quests, or "missions," in which particularly powerful enemies are defeated for useful prizes. An especially difficult creature is Zirnitra, the creature for missions 46, 52 and 53. Defeating Zirnitra can be done using a strategy involving switching between the various jobs.

Organize the jobs of your party. Before battle, set up your starting job to be Syn/Syn/Sen. The other job combinations you should set up are Sab/Sab/Sen, Rav/Rav/Rav and Com/Com/Com. If you work quickly, you shouldn't even need the Med job to heal your party.

Begin the battle. Let your party boost your defenses, allowing the support characters to act once or twice. Immediately switch to the Sab/Sab/Sen setup.

Allow your characters to take away Zirnitra's added defenses. This will prepare the creature to receive the maximum damage.

Switch to the Rav/Rav/Rav job setup. Work the creature until he becomes extremely vulnerable, known as being "staggered."

Switch to the Com/Com/Com setup. To deliver maximum damage while the creature is staggered, attack while all Com.

Repeat the staggering process with the Rav/Rav/Rav setup. If you did not defeat Zirnitra with the first run, stagger the beast once more. Once Zirnitra is staggered, switch back to the Com/Com/Com setup to finish the job.
