PPS files may be presented similar to PowerPoint presentations using PowerPoint Viewer.

PowerPoint Viewer is a program from Microsoft that allows you to view PowerPoint presentations that have been saved as PowerPoint SlideShow files. While you may view the files using all of the same PowerPoint functionality, you may not edit presentations in PowerPoint Viewer. You can give presentations in PowerPoint viewer in the same manner as the full PowerPoint program by following a few steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Save the file to a folder on your computer. Right-click the PPS and select the "Save" option. Use the "Save in" menu to select a folder in which to save the slide show file. Click the "Save" button. If the PPS file is already saved to your computer, skip to step 2.

    • 2

Launch PowerPoint Viewer and open the PPS file. Click the "File" menu and select the "Open" option. Use the "Look in" menu to access the folder in which the PPS file is saved. Select the PPS file and click the "Open" button.

Click the "Slide Show" icon at the bottom of the PowerPoint Viewer screen to display the PPS in full screen. If you have your computer hooked up to an LCD projector, those viewing either the computer screen or the projection will see the full screen view.

Click the mouse button once to move forward to the next slide. To move back one slide, right-click once and select the "Back" option. To exit the full screen view, click the "Escape" (ESC) key on your keyboard.
