Things You'll Need

  • Tilapia fillets
  • Salt
  • Lemon pepper seasoning
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Large frying pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Baked Tilapia

      Rinse the fish, and pat dry. Preheat the oven to 400 F.

      Drizzle fillets with 1 tsp. of olive oil, then sprinkle tilapia with 2 tsp. of lemon pepper seasoning and salt, if desired. Rub the seasoning in with your fingers.

      Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place fish on the baking sheet; make sure fillets don't touch.

      Bake fish for 15 minutes. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

    Sauteed Tilapia

      Rinse the fish, then pat dry.

      Melt 1 tsp. of butter in a large frying pan, then add 1 tbsp. of olive oil.

      Add the fish to the pan, and then sprinkle all over with lemon pepper seasoning.

      Cook for three minutes, then turn the fish over and cook for another four minutes. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

Tips & Warnings

  • For added flavor, saute fresh mushrooms and green onions in the butter and oil mixture before adding the tilapia.
