How to Prepare Chrysanthemum Tea
Chrysanthemum tea is used in Chinese medicine for healing benefits. Chrysanthemum flowers contain amino acids, camphor and high levels of vitamin C; and they have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. Things You'll Need
- 5 to 7 chrysanthemum leaves
- 2 cups water
- Strainer
- Saucepan
- 2 tsp. sugar (optional)
- Tea cup

Place five to seven leaves in a strainer and rinse them with water Let all of the water drain before using them.

Put 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Add the chrysanthemum leaves to the water. Bring it to a full, rolling boil. Let it boil for 30 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat. Let it cool for at least five to seven minutes. Sugar is optional. If you want to add it, dissolve 2 tsp. sugar in the water.

Pour the tea through a strainer. This collects the chrysanthemum leaves. Pour into a tea cup and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to drink iced chrysanthemum tea, refrigerate the tea. When it is cold, pour it over ice and drink.
