How to Prevent Indexing While Setting Up a WordPress Blog

Search engines can sometimes index new websites very quickly. Occasionally, this can happen before the website is ready to be viewed by the public. Because search engines can be slow to update pages once they have been indexed, it may be in your best interest to prevent the search engines from indexing your new WordPress website until the site is ready to begin receiving visitors. WordPress includes a built-in function to make this possible.

    • 3
