How to Change From Business to Premier PayPal
PayPal is a money-transfer website that offers several account types to accommodate the needs of its users. If a user's needs change over time, he may wish to change his PayPal account type as well. Upgrading to an account type with more features can be done automatically from the PayPal website, but downgrading from a Business account to a Premier account requires the user to contact PayPal Customer Service to request the change.

Log in to your PayPal account. Locate the "Contact Us" link near the bottom of the page and click it to access the PayPal contact options page.

Click the "Email Us" button on the contact options page. From the drop-down menus, select "My Account" as the email topic, "Changing Account Type" as the subtopic and "Downgrade My Account" as the change type.

Type a message into the text box that appears, explaining that you have a Business account that you wish to change to a Premier account. There is no word count limit on your message to PayPal Customer Service. Click "Submit" once you've finished writing your message.

Check the primary email account you have registered with PayPal. When the account type change is complete you will receive an email informing you of the successful change. It may take one or more days for the change to be performed.

Tips & Warnings
For faster service you can also click the "Call Us" link on the contact options page. You will be given a "Web PIN" identification number and a PayPal Customer Service phone number to call. The Web PIN expires 60 minutes after it is issued, so call the Customer Service number within the hour and give the representative your Web PIN when asked. Explain the change you would like made and the representative will begin making the change for you.
