Having a prepaid phone plan helps you to save money, as there are no monthly contracts or monthly bills. However, you may wish to convert your phone to a post-paid line, or otherwise get rid of your prepaid plan. Like with other providers, Net10 users must call the customer service line to close their accounts. Although lines are deactivated if a new minute card is not added when minutes expire, the line may not be closed immediately under this option.
Use up all of the minutes on your current airtime card. Alternatively, wait the number of days listed on the card until the minutes expire. If you do not use the minutes, you will have wasted money on the card. This can be significant if you regularly purchase airtime cards with a large number of minutes on them.
Call Net10 Customer Service by dialing 877-836-2368. Listen to the menu options and select the appropriate option to reach a customer service agent.
Tell the customer service agent that you would like to deactivate your account. The agent is likely to ask you why you are closing your account. After the agent confirms that the account is closed, attempt to make a call on the device to ensure that the line was actually deactivated.
