How to Change a Mozilla Toolbar's Backdrop

Mozilla's Personas are themes that can be used to spice up the aesthetics of your browser. Personas allow you to change the backdrop of Firefox's toolbar and status bar. Instead of the standard toolbar, you can have abstract art or sports logos in Firefox's toolbar. And with a brief trip to Mozilla's free Personas gallery, you can add some eye candy to your browser's interface.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Mozilla Firefox, and then navigate the browser to Mozilla's Personas site. Click on the "Gallery" option at the top of the page.

    • 2

Narrow down the selection of Personas. Click on one of the "Categories" listed on the left side of the page.

    • 3

Move your cursor over a Persona to preview it. The new Persona will appear in your toolbar's backdrop. Click on the "Wear it" button on the desired Persona to install it for your toolbar's background.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can install as many Personas as you'd lik, and switch between them at any time. To manage your Personas, select the "Add-ons" option from the Firefox menu. Click on the "Appearance" heading in the "Add-ons" menu to view your currently installed Personas. Click on the "Enable" button next to the Persona you'd like to use. The current Persona will be disabled automatically.
