How to Embed a Picture Slideshow in a Web Page

When it comes to Web site design and development, there are little things you can do that make a big difference. For instance, instead of displaying static images on your site, turn the pictures into a slideshow. By doing so, you add visual interest. There are plenty of online resources that allow you to create slideshows for free. Once created, it only takes a few minutes to embed the show onto your Web page.

  • Sign up for an account with a website that allows you to create your own slideshow. An example of websites that allow free slideshow creations include Slide, Rock You, Kizoa, Picasa and Photo Snack.

  • Select the option to create a new slideshow. Click "Upload" to upload pictures from your computer onto the slideshow server. Click "Save" to save your slideshow.

  • Click the "Embed" or "Share" link for your slideshow. This will reveal the HTML embed code for the show. Highlight the code. Right click the highlighted code. Select "Copy."

  • Log into the administration panel for the website you would like to embed the slideshow. Click "File Directory." Click "Edit" for the page on which you want to display the slideshow. The page's HTML editor window will open.

  • Right click inside the "HTML Editor" box. Select "Paste" to paste the embed code.

  • Click "Save" to save your changes.
