How to Share a Video on a Friend's Profile on Facebook

Save

On the social networking site Facebook, you can share anything from pictures and links to videos and games with friends. It's easy to share a video on the Wall section of a friend's profile, by linking or embedding it. In a few steps, using the specific "Share" feature, you can also share videos that other users post to your News Feed.

Share a Video From a Friend

  • Find the video posted by your friend on your News Feed, Wall or the friend's profile.

  • Click "Share." A pop-up window appears.

  • Click the drop-down menu next to "Share," and select "On a Friend's Wall." Enter your friend's name, type a message (optional), and click "Share Video."

Post a Video to a Friend's Wall

  • Click, hold and drag your cursor across the video's Web address, or URL, and hold "Ctrl" and "C" at the same time to copy it.

  • Go to your friend's profile. Click "Wall" in the sidebar if you don't see the Wall.

  • Click in the "Write something..." box, and hold "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time to paste the link.

  • Click "Share." If embedding is enabled, it will post the video directly to your friend's Wall. Otherwise, it will appear as a link.
