How to Cold Reset a M3035 Printer


The HP LaserJet M3035 Laser Printer is capable of printing a high volume of pages quickly and is designed for business use. If the M3035 stops working and the usual troubleshooting steps -- such as checking and clearing paper-jams -- have not resolved the issue, you can perform a cold reset on the printer. This resets the printer back to its factory defaults and allows you to start anew.

  • Turn off the printer from the printer console, then turn it on.

  • Press and hold the "6" button when the printer LCD indicates it's checking the memory. Release the button once all LEDs on the printer are lit.

  • Press the "3" and "9" keys to scroll through the menu that appears on the printer's LCD screen. Highlight the option that says "Cold Reset."

  • Press "6" to restore the printer's factory defaults.
