How to Make a Bacon Costume
Because of its long and thin shape, bacon is an easy fit for a costume. Whether the costume is for a child's play about nutrition or just a fun Halloween pick, this costume will garner attention and conversation. Although the process of making the costume is relatively simple, allow plenty of time for multiple fittings. In addition, paint the costume carefully, as the coloring will be the critical factor in helping others identify the costume as a strip of bacon.

2
Adjust the size of the foam rubber. The costume top will sit about 6 inches above the head and stretch down to the knees. The long sides of the costume should meet close to the body.

3
Use a marker to indicate where the arms will emerge along the sides and where the face hole will sit.
-
4
Use a large needle and thick thread to tie the two pieces of foam rubber together. Tie the pieces together along the sides and at the top. Leave roughly three inches between ties. Leave a larger space where the arms will emerge.

5
Cut the face hole in the foam rubber. Make two, 2-inch vertical cuts on each piece of foam rubber at the waist height of the costume. The best place for these slits in along the edges.
