How to Fix LP Warps
LP records made of vinyl can become warped over time if exposed to heat or improperly stored. This can be very frustrating if the record is rare or expensive, or if it's among your favorite albums. But many warps can be repaired at home with a few small sheets of glass and an oven.

1
Place the record on your turntable and use a grease pencil to mark the edge at the most severe point of the warp. This will help you check the progress of the repair.
-
2
Place the record between two sheets of glass. Old picture frames, which can be purchased at thrift stores, are great sources of inexpensive glass.

3
Place the stack in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake the glass and record for 5-10 minutes. Remove with oven mitts.
-
4
Allow the record to cool and place it on your turntable to check if the warp has been removed. Repeat the process as needed until the record is flat and plays correctly.
