How to Load PowerPoint to Scribd

Scribd.com is an online document collection that allows its users to upload, share and download several different types of files. The purpose of Scribd is to allow creators of content to have an audience and for the audience to connect with the creators. So, if you want to share your shiny, new PowerPoint presentation with the eager masses, you can upload it to Scribd and share it with the world. Scribd even allows you to set the permissions on your file, like if it can be downloaded for free or if it has to be purchased.

      Open your PowerPoint presentation. Click the "Office Button" which is the circle in the upper left of the PowerPoint window. Point to "Save As" and choose "PDF or XPS." Type a name for your presentation and click "Publish." Even though Scribd will import a PowerPoint file, using the PDF format is the preferred way to maintain your formatting and font choice.

      Browse to Scribd.com. Enter your username and password or log in with your Facebook credentials. Click the "Upload" button in the top center of the website. Browse to the location of your newly created PDF file on your computer and double-click the file. Accept the Scribd terms of service.

      Edit the title of the PowerPoint presentation. Assign a category and write a description of the file you uploaded. When you're done click "Save." If you want to tell all your friends about it use the "Share" button.

      Click on the thumbnail image of the PowerPoint to see the full presentation online. Copy the link here to share the presentation with other people.
