How to Block a Phone Number When Calling on a Cell Phone
You may not want everyone you call to have your cellphone number, but that's exactly what you allow if the person you call has caller ID. However, you can block your number from appearing on caller ID for most calls, except 911 calls and those to 800 numbers. Call blocking is a feature of many modern phones, or you can elect to block your number on a per-call basis using a special code.

1
Call "611" from your cellphone and ask your cellular provider if it can permanently block your number from caller ID. Although some providers offer this feature, not all will. If your cellphone company does not allow caller ID block, try one of the other methods.

2
Select "Menu" on your cell phone, "Settings," "Call Settings" and then "Show my number." Choose to "Hide number" and your phone will block your number. Not all phones have this feature, and those that do may use a different navigational menu. However, the setting should reside in a similar section.

Dial "*67" immediately before the number, and press "Send." As an example, to call 555-555-5555, you would enter "*675555555555" and press "Send" to call with your number blocked. This option only blocks your number on a per-call basis, which means you have to re-enter for each call to continue to block your number.
