  • Shower curtain
  • Adjustable curved shower rod kit
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Tape
  • Drill
  • Drill bit
  • Rubber mallet

Instructions

      Measure the length of your shower curtain with a tape measure to find the desired shower-rod height. Measure up from the floor and mark the height on both sides of the wall with a pencil. Measure how deep you want the shower-rod placement, and mark on both sides of the shower wall with a pencil.

      Tape the enclosed template to the marks you made on wall and mark the holes for the bracket through the template with a pencil. Pre-drill the holes in the wall with a drill and drill bit. If you hit a wood stud in the wall, stop drilling.

      Tap the anchors provided in the shower rod kit into the wall with a rubber mallet. No anchors are necessary if you drilled into a stud. Secure the brackets to the wall with your drill and the screws provided.

      Attach the rod to the brackets with your hand, and secure it to the brackets on the wall with the screws provided and your drill.

      Place the carpenter's level on top of the curved shower rod, and verify the bubble is in the middle. Adjust the brackets and rod if necessary.

      Place the decorative caps over the brackets, and hang a shower curtain.

Tips & Warnings

  • Curved shower rods will accommodate tubs from 4 1/2 to 6 feet long.
