Instructions

    • 1

Sweep the floor thoroughly to remove as much of the dry dirt as possible. This will speed up the cleaning and polishing process.

    • 2

Mix a neutral pH cleaner with water according to the manufacturer's instructions. This generally consists of mixing 1 cup detergent with 3 gallons water.

    • 3

Dip a mop into the cleaning solution and wring it out so that it is just slightly damp but not dripping.

    • 4

Push the mop over the floor until it is dirty. Rinse the mop and repeat the process until the floor is clean.

    • 5

Scrub any areas of the floor that are not clean with an old toothbrush.

    • 6

Spray the floor with a terrazzo floor polish. Rub the polish into the floor with a clean cloth in circular motions until the floor is shining. Let the polish dry completely for two hours. Apply two more coats and let the coats dry in between.
