Your Illinois unemployment claim is a series of verifications that you still meet the eligibility requirements under the state law.       Call the claims line (888) 337-7234. Press "3" to select the third option.

      Listen to the status of your claim, including the last payment and the balance on your claim.

Tips & Warnings

  • The Illinois Department of Employment Security recommends you avoid using a cellular or cordless phone to call the claims line to avoid dropped calls.

  • If you forget your PIN, call the claims line and select the option to speak to a claims agent. Verify your identity with the agent so she can reset your PIN.

  • To view your claim online, you need Windows Explorer 6.0 or higher. If you don't have access to those program, you must call the claims line to check on your claim.
