How to Draw a Pumpkin With a Sweet Face
Pumpkins are a perfect autumnal symbol. Usually a ghoulish iconic symbol for Halloween, pumpkin faces do not always need to be scary. Simple to create, drawing pumpkins is an ideal way to decorate your schoolbooks or any Halloween costume. Creating a sweet pumpkin face will add character and kindness in the midst of Halloween terror. Usually pumpkin faces are angular, but when creating a sweet pumpkin face draw all your features rounded and draw a large smile.

1
Draw a circle in the center of your paper. On top of the circle in the center, draw a dipped point. From here retrace your circle so that it has a more unnatural, less circular shape.
-
2
Draw the stem of the pumpkin in the center of the dip. Draw a short stem of about 2 inches that sticks out of the top of the circle. The stem should be a wonky rectangle.

Draw the eyes, mouth and nose inside the pumpkin. Pumpkin features are usually angular, but to create a sweet pumpkin face try and make your features more circular. Draw the eyes like two upside down U-shapes. Draw the points together to make it look like closed eyes laughing. Add a triangle-shaped nose with a large smile underneath. Draw a crescent moon shape and include a triangular tooth inside the mouth.

4
Draw ribbed lines inside of the pumpkin to help define its cylinder shape.

Color in your pumpkin. Use vibrant oranges and focus on the shading within the ribs of the pumpkin. Outline the eyes, mouth and nose with a thin black marker to make your smiley sweet features stand out.
