How to Increase WordPress Media Storage

WordPress is a content management system that allows you to create a network of blogs all within one Internet domain. As the WordPress administrator, you can control settings for all the hosted sites, such as the amount of media storage that you allow for each blog to have. You can increase this setting from the WordPress administrator dashboard at any time, allowing each site to have more storage space for uploaded media such as images, movies and music.

  • Log into your WordPress dashboard using the administrator account.

  • Click the "Network Admin" link in the top right corner to view the administrator settings.

  • Click "Settings" from the menu on the left to navigate to the network settings page.

  • Scroll down to the "Upload Settings" section near the bottom of the page.

  • Type in a larger number in the "Site upload space" text box. This will increase the amount of space each site has for media storage.

  • Click the "Save Changes" button.
